Abstract :

The COSMOS-Web survey offers an unprecedented window into the early universe, enabling the discovery of very bright galaxies at high-redshift. The identification and characterization of such bright galaxies present significant challenges. In this seminar, I will discuss the latest results from COSMOS-Web, focusing on the brightest galaxies detected at z>9 and their implications for our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution during the EoR. We will explore the tension between the unexpectedly high abundance of these galaxies and predictions.
